Josh NZ
I have a wall style with a series of components, all classed. In plan view these components are still showing even thou turned off. If I turn the class off and on again it appears fine until I zoom in or out then they appear again. Is this a bug or working as intended? Edited December 14, 2016 by Josh NZ Quote Link to comment

0 zoomer
Don't know if I got that right. You want your framing disappear ? But you have your framing component "by object class" ? That way the framing will be controlled by the Class that the overall Wall will use. Or the other way round ? Then I would also use an explizit Class for the Framing. For me, the Main Wall Class keeps the empty Wall Container only, to be able to switch on/off all Walls. Each Wall Component is always on a Component Class and uses Component Mode, so I can control visibilities of all Components separately. Where this will not work is when you activate "hide details" in Quick Settings Bar (influencing top plan view only ?) This way visibility will be controlled by by the Wall Main Class only. 0 Josh NZ
Hi Zoomer, I'm wanting the framing to stay on, but I'm wanting the wall lining to turn off. At around 0:40 in the video you can see the lining is off as I have switched that class off, as I zoom out it suddenly shows even thou the class is still off. You can see afterwards I turn the class off and on again and then select the wall. the framing selection is highlighted which is what I suspect it to do, however the lining is not showing as being selected, but still shows. 0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted January 23, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 23, 2017 @Josh NZCould you please send me or post a sample file that includes a bit of that geometry as well as that wall style? Something is definitely off here but that would help me narrow it down. Quote Link to comment
0 AlanW
@Josh NZHi try the attached file, turn off lining see if this is what you are after? Also in the viewport you can have the wall solid or with components by ticking this box in advanced properties. Untitled1.vwx Edited January 23, 2017 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment

0 Josh NZ
Im also experiencing a similar issue with the slab styles. The zoom isnt an issue, its just when the class is turned off in a VP they still show. Quote Link to comment
0 AlanW
@Josh NZ@JimHi, I see what you mean about the zooming. I think we are having the same issue at work. Quote Link to comment
0 Josh NZ
Is there any update on this? As you can imagine this has a huge impact on any job, being that slab, walls and roof make up the three main components of a building. I'm about to set up my roof components, but very worried that there is going to be similar issues. Quote Link to comment
0 Josh NZ
Still having this issue on every job. Whats the solution? Pretty major bug as its the main components of pretty much any job other than landscaping and lighting design. Quote Link to comment
