AlanW
Hi, Is there a way to set this time delay for 1 operation to take place prior or after the time delay. Basically not have them occur at the same time?? Thanks Time Delay.vwx Quote Link to comment
Patrick Winkler
As I know the result appears when all nodes have finished their job. That means when you insert 10 * 5 second dalays (for each object) the whole script will take 50 seconds and create all objects at the end. Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted December 2, 2016 Marionette Maven Share Posted December 2, 2016 Yes, What Patrick is saying is correct. The way Python/Vectorscript run is that they complete the entire script prior to showing any changes in the application. Technically these operations are still taking place at separate times, just not updating visually for you to see. Why do you want to accomplish this? I may be able to offer you a solution if I can understand what you're trying to see. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, not trying anything in particular but would love to be able to either stagger operations and especially trigger a script by an action like a game. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi. Still thinking about time delaying the Marionette process but still to no avail. Tried this new node which imported Time module and used time.sleep(). But still completes all at the same time. Can Marionette wait for user input to continue??? Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted June 24, 2017 Marionette Maven Share Posted June 24, 2017 Scripting halts the drawing area while running, all of the work is done in the background. That is why using commands like sleep from the Python library does not work. 1 Quote Link to comment
