RobinP
I'm retired and coming back to Vectorworks after a couple iterations. I need to do some Vertical Section Viewports for a tiny project. No longer in it for the money, I've opted this time, for the Fundamentals rather than Architect but please, don't tell me that a basic Section Viewport isn't fundamental. Somehow I can't seem to find any basic "how to" for Section Viewports on 2017. Wasn't it a simple menu option on 2012? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 30, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 30, 2016 Fundamentals is the only module that does not include Section Viewports, you would need Architect, Landmark or Spotlight in order to create Section Viewports. In versions of Vectorworks that include it, it can be found under View > Create Section Viewport. Quote Link to comment
MHBrown
For what it's worth, I agree that a section view is just about as fundamental as it gets and should be included. I can't imagine a reasonable argument that sections are not fundamental to architectural drawing. Perhaps it would be helpful if VW would list the ways in which the Fundamentals version of the software is disabled so one could make an informed decision. MHBrown 1 Quote Link to comment
