Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 16, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 16, 2020 Currently the data transfer between cable objects is not yet fully active When a lighting device (or other attached object ) is edited the attached cable object does recognize that something has changed but doesn't yet transmit the changes any further in practice this means that if you change the channel number of an attached lighting device or the ID of a cable object or a distributor the change will be displayed in the start or end field of the cable object properties, but this data will not be passed on to whatever object is at the other end of the cable. This will change in the future so that these sort of changes will update the connected objects but it is not yet fully implemented. At the moment the only workaround (other than manually editing the fields) is to use the cable tool to redraw the cable between the breakout and the edited lighting device which will update the breakout.
