willofmaine
Okay... so is Vectorworks 2016 officially supported on Mac OS Sierra, as well as VW 2017? There seems to be no Service Pack 5 for 2016, and the system requirements for Vectorworks (http://www.vectorworks.net/sysreq?version=2016) don't seem to have been updated... Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Its not supported yet. @JimWsaid in another thread that a SP is coming but that the resources were focussed on making VW2017 compatible first. Kevin Quote Link to comment
willofmaine
Thanks, Kevin. I'm still on OS 10.9, so I may wait, as going from that to 10.12 is probably a pretty big leap... Quote Link to comment
willofmaine
I see that, suddenly, VW 2016, Service Pack 6 (SP5 according to its details page?...) is available. Does this mean that VW 2016 is now officially supported on Sierra? I can't seem to find any indication one way or the other... Quote Link to comment
rDesign
On my Vw2016 update web page it says that SP5 was released on Nov 30, 2016? Huh? Did I miss something? Vectorworks 2016 release history: Sept 16, 2015 - Vectorworks 2016 (Build 278524) released Oct 13, 2015 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 1 (Build 283922) released Nov 24, 2015 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 2 (Build 288897) released Mar 22, 2016 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 3 (Build 301288) released Jun 21, 2016 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 4 (Build 315580) released Nov 30, 2016 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 5 (Build 341672) released Dec 8, 2016 - Vectorworks 2016 Service Pack 6 (Build 343259) released But yet the Vw2016 Download page does not have SP5 listed, only SP4 and SP6. And of course my Service Select download page for 2016 only has SP4. (I miss the days when there used to be a Press Release posted in the Announcements part of the User Forum; The last time a Service Pack release was announced was for Vw2015 SP3). Kevin McAllister
Recent SP releases have been a bit disorganized, like the missing notes list from SP1 of VW2017. Often they are posted a couple of days before they are officially announced to prevent a download crunch but lately its just been messy :-( KM Edited December 10, 2016 by Kevin McAllister Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted December 10, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 10, 2016 Vectorworks 2016 SP6 now officially supports macOS Sierra. Not every localization got SP5, SP6 will be the final one for 2016 most likely. This irregularity in scheduling was to accommodate various compatibility issues as quickly as possible, apologies for the confusion. You can update directly from 2016 SP4 to 2016 SP6. 2 Quote Link to comment

D Wood
For Australasian users, Megabits here in NZ tell me that SP5 is coming in January and will support v2016 on OSX Sierra. Quote Link to comment
