zoomer
Does someone else notice that ? I have a problem that my Glass Panes in my first Window Style based Test Windows seems to not use the Material (assigned by Class) like the rest of its components. It is opaque and shows the Fill Color of the Class only. The only way to show the Glass Material is to apply the Window to the "Glass" Class. Then the Material appears. Looks like the Glass Panes will not use "Material by Class" Sounds complicated and tedious but I think that is what I did. If you can't replicate the issue you can try following steps. Prerequisites : - activate "none" Class - create a Window - create and save a Window Style from it - prepare a custom "Glass" Class and a custom RW "Glass" Material with transparency, assign that new "Glass" Material to the "Glass" Class, set "use at Creation" - prepare a similar Setup like "Steel" to use for the other Window's components - prepare a "Window" Class Now start to adjust the Window Style. - Set Type to "Fixed Glass" (with Sash) - Set some individual input options like position, height and width - Set Glazing Width to 4 cm (everywhere) - Apply the "Steel" Class to all "Window Class" Classes except the ones using "Glazing Clear" - Apply the "Glass" Class" to all Classes that once used "Glazing Clear" - Save the Style and check if that Style is still applied to your Window. - Delete Class "Glazing Clear", if a Warning appears, assign all these Elements to "Glass" class - Delete any standard Glazing Material if applicable, if a Warning appears, assign all these Elements to "Glass" Material => Select the Window and change from "none" Class to "Window" Class Check OpenGL and RW appearance (keep Textures On to be able see Transparencies) Forcing the whole Window to use "Textures by Class" does, at least, not help Importing one of the VW delivered Window Styles seem to work, until I change them to another Class (?) 0 zoomer
I think it has to do with either creating a Window on a Class that has "Use at Creation" enabled or moving the Window to such a Class later and accept "use Class parameters" which forces all components of the Window to use Class Fills but ignore the RW Materials assigned to these Classes. 0 zoomer
Everything under control again I had assigned RW Textures for all my Component Classes, but forgot (?) to activate "Use Textures ... at Creation" (I thought that would deactivated Texture Assignment to Class in the past completely !?) After activating that setting for my Classes and some switching of Window's Classes and Classes in their Style's Components brought my Material and Transparency back. Quote Link to comment

Does someone else notice that ?
I have a problem that my Glass Panes in my first Window Style based Test Windows
seems to not use the Material (assigned by Class) like the rest of its components.
It is opaque and shows the Fill Color of the Class only.
The only way to show the Glass Material is to apply the Window to the "Glass" Class.
Then the Material appears.
Looks like the Glass Panes will not use "Material by Class"
Sounds complicated and tedious but I think that is what I did.
If you can't replicate the issue you can try following steps.
Prerequisites :
- activate "none" Class
- create a Window
- create and save a Window Style from it
- prepare a custom "Glass" Class and a custom RW "Glass" Material with transparency,
assign that new "Glass" Material to the "Glass" Class, set "use at Creation"
- prepare a similar Setup like "Steel" to use for the other Window's components
- prepare a "Window" Class
Now start to adjust the Window Style.
- Set Type to "Fixed Glass" (with Sash)
- Set some individual input options like position, height and width
- Set Glazing Width to 4 cm (everywhere)
- Apply the "Steel" Class to all "Window Class" Classes except the ones using "Glazing Clear"
- Apply the "Glass" Class" to all Classes that once used "Glazing Clear"
- Save the Style and check if that Style is still applied to your Window.
- Delete Class "Glazing Clear", if a Warning appears, assign all these Elements to "Glass" class
- Delete any standard Glazing Material if applicable, if a Warning appears, assign all these Elements to "Glass" Material
=> Select the Window and change from "none" Class to "Window" Class
Check OpenGL and RW appearance
(keep Textures On to be able see Transparencies)
Forcing the whole Window to use "Textures by Class" does, at least, not help
Importing one of the VW delivered Window Styles seem to work, until I change them to another Class (?)
