You can use a number of tools starting with the simplest being an extruded shape or its "big brother" Extrude Along Path. In the Detailing ToolSet we offer a Framing Member tool and for 2017, in the Building Shell ToolSet there's the Structural Member tool. Between those, you should be able to create a framing model. Have you checked out the series of Youtube videos that the company and the users have produced. That's a pretty great starting point. You will need to devote some time becoming familiar with the environment and understanding the organization of the drawing, the location of the tools and commands and what you can expect each to achieve for you.
