benboggs
Anyone have suggestions on how to draw storm pipes that are true to width? For example: I would like to draw my storm lines the actual width of the pipe. So a 24 inch storm pipe has a line that is actually 24 inches wide. I am having a tremendously difficult time getting this very simple task done. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Vectorworks has a maximum line thickness of about 6mm. To draw a line larger than that, you will want to use the Double Line tool. If you want it to be filled switch the tool preferences (wrench icon in mode bar) to either polygons or lines and polygons before you start drawing and set the fill to the color/pattern you want. Pat Stanford
Another possible option that I recently saw in a different thread would be to create a custom line type. Set it to use World Units and draw a rectangle from 0,0 to the right. Then drag the "virtual" rectangles back to the first to create a solid line. If you set the rectangle to have a fill but no lines, or lines the same color as the fill when it draws it will be a "line" (with the OIP attributes of a line) with the width you created. You can also offset the rectangle vertically if you want a line that will draw on the side of the "line" that you draw. Drag the line type from the Resource Manager onto any line you want to have those properties. Quote Link to comment
Urbanist
You could try the free plug-in Double polygon, a part of this set: http://www.vectordepot.com/downloads/Doubles.zip Quote Link to comment
