Best Techniques, Workflow for illustrating small spaces in 3D

Recommended Posts

If I had to guess, I'd say that he may have left Ambient Lighting enabled to get the brighter overall look, and IES profile is the nice little trick used to get that lensing effect on the light above the shower. I havent messed with IES much but it always seems to be the way to go in kitchens and bathrooms especially.

Just came across this link, and it reminded me of this Vectorworks post about viewing small spaces such as bathrooms (often have the same issue):

Especially how the walls are 'one way' so disappear/ re-appear as you rotate the model!

Future development for web view export maybe?!

Hey All,

One thing I've learned by hanging out on the Mother Ship is that alot of the lighting settings can and SHOULD exceed the 100% that you think is the limit...this also holds true for settings in textures.  I think Luis posted a pdf showing a vase with various textures applied...interesting stuff.
