Christian Fekete
In the image plan below you can see the trim at 3/4" for both window and cased opening. I see three issues here: 1/ the window, in blue trim is not on top of the drywall layer of the wall (the outside layer of the wall is the base plate which is below the window) Can I arrange this properly to 4 3/4" 2/The door in grey has trim which is inside the thickness of the drywall. Can I arrange this properly to 4 3/4" 3/ The wall cut line should be 4 3/4" also and the baseboard should have a thinner line shouldn't it? window_trim.vwx Quote Link to comment
Christian Fekete
I guess I will answer my own question 1&2, both controls are in the respective door and window style settings under jamb depth. As far as the outline of the cut wall, still not sure, if I hide the wall details the wall thickness includes the baseboard ! Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, your wall-interior class is controlling the outside lines of your wall. This should be controlled by you wall style. I bumped the line weight up to 2 to show it. And the reason the door jamb doesnot fit the wall is the wall is 4 3/4 wide and the door style is set to 4 1/2". I the attached file i set it to 4 3/4 and fits. I would have thought that you can set the walls to take the wall thickness by default. Also you had a double line showing up when you turn on zoom line thicknesses. Look at the wall style, I tend not to have 2 thick ones on top of each other.
