Cosmo Posted September 9, 2003 Share Posted September 9, 2003 I just upgraded my academic version to 10.5. When I opened it I was told that I was in the demo version. I entered my serial number in the window provided when I ran the updater. Is it possible the updater ran even if I made and error in entering the Serial #? How do I fix this? Is it possible that if I mis-typed my serial number that the upgrade would change the application from academic to a trial version? Cosmo Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted September 11, 2003 Share Posted September 11, 2003 It wouldn't have let you install if you mis-typed the SN. Are you on a Mac or PC ? You probably just need to reset the VW Prefs to get you back to working in a reg mode. If you already know how to delete the prefs for VW - knock your socks off and do it. If you need directions on editing the registry or deleting the pefs file, please include the platform you are working on. Also, if you are on a PC - were you logged on as the admin to the local machine or have admin privleges when the VW update was installing? Did you log off and log back in as another user account when you launched VW 10.5 ? Quote Link to comment
