Andrew Mac
Is it possible to customize the overhead door tool to make garage doors that have windows in them? I and trying to make a 16'0" wide garage door and have 4 windows high on the garage and muntins bars with 8 panes in each window Quote Link to comment
ericjhberg
1. Use the overhead style of door. 2. Under the LEAF settings, select the PANEL type 3. Divide the panels how you desire 4. Under the CLASSES settings, set the classes of both the interior and exterior panel sections to a class designated for windows or glazing. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
Markvl
You can certainly use the method that @ericjhbergdescribed but I find I don't like the way the door looks. I make my own custom door leaf. Essentially model your own garage door and put in the glazing you need. I've attached a 16ft x 8ft typcial raised panel door that your free to play with and add to your custom door leaf file. Margarritta
When the door slides up, it should follow the path and go around a 90 degree bend until it's in an overhead horizontal position rather than it's original vertical position when it's closed. Want to find for my home remodeling project electric gate that slides up and down along a curved path that looks like an upside down "L" to send the whole graph project to. I want each panel of the door to look like it's hinged to the next panel, like you see with many garage electric doors and warehouse bay doors. Quote Link to comment
