Andrew Mac
I am trying to write a header on my work sheet that I want to have 3 lines: Energy Analysis: Alterations to apartments on 11th floor of a 19-story building. Climate Zone 4a I only want to use one cell so I will not have any lines. Is this possible Quote Link to comment
michaelk
There are two ways: 1. Tell the cell to wrap and copy/paste a carriage return from another application. 2. Use 3 cells and turn the grid lines off. hth mk multiline cell.vwx Quote Link to comment

Pat Stanford
3. In VW2017 you can use Option (alt) Return to add a carriage return into a cell. You will have to manually change the Row Height to get all three rows to display. I don't think this works back to 2013. I don't even think it works back to 2016. 2 Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Hey Pat. Great tip about Option Return. It works in 2016, too. mk Quote Link to comment

Pat Stanford
I just submitted a Bug report, that will be converted to a wish if they come back Working As Designed that the Autofit Row Height option understand multiline text in a cell. For now, you have to manually adjust the row height to fit the multiple rows. Quote Link to comment
