Custom Selection to update Viewports

I am trying to use custom selection in order to update all my viewports at the same time (i've read about this tool from a blog online)

So i've gone to Tools- Custom Selection and selected 'Create VectorScript' and then clicked criteria. But when I click the dropdown to choose 'Type,' it doesn't allow to to select it. I want to enter 'Type is Viewport Sheet Layer.' Does anyone know why the 'type' option is greyed out and not allowing me to choose it?

Many thanks!

That will happen if your document does not have any objects in it. The Type field will only show object types that currently exist in a file. So for instance if you add a Rectangle somewhere in that file, then you should be able to choose Type > Is > Rectangle but other items will not appear in the list.

I think you will need only "all" VP's on a single Sheet Layer updated ?

As for all update all, I use View > "Update All Viewports"
And have this set to a SHIFT+CMD+U shortcut.
