AlanW
Hi, Is there a time limit to editing a post I created a post in Marionette maybe an hour ago then went back to edit and I could only reply?? Thanks Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
I hope there isn't. Or at least as long as it was in the old forum. The german forum has a 5 minutes (!) limit which I often run into, checking my own fresh text walls for spell or content errors. It also adds new posts to your last post if no one else posted since. The edit time frame is given by that of your first post - so no edit ability at all in that case. Generally I think posts should be editable without limits or time frames. People learn and develop, opinions change, why not update posts. Its a communication and information forum not a historic archive. Quote Link to comment
0 Ilay
same here, i create several hours ago and can not edit it. there is no button to apply-edit, finish post Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 3, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 3, 2016 The time limit should now be fixed, yeah it defaults to 5 minutes, which only makes sense if we were trying to use posts as evidence in a court of law or something, hehe. The edit post issue can be temporarily worked around by selecting the "reason" field at the bottom and then hitting Enter, it should force a submit even before we get the button fixed. 1 Quote Link to comment
