Andrew Mac
I am creating my roof and when looking at it in a front view, it doesn't sit at the correct elevation- It is a lot higher- What went wrong? I set my my first floor elevation at 0 with an 8'-1" wall height- Then I set my roof layer at 8'1"= However something is wrong because it does not sit at 8'1" elevation- Ant suggestions Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Do you have them on different design layers. If yes then your roof should be set to 0 the design level. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
do you have a layer elevation and a roof bearing height? you only need one of them.... Quote Link to comment
bluewater2222
Had something similar happen. What I found in my situation is that when you create a roof, even though you created it on the roof layer, it is automatically placed on the floor layout level. All you have to do is reposition it by dragging it up and into place. Does not change any other settings or elevations - they all stay correct. Quote Link to comment
