Andrew Mac
I have not been on Vectorworks in a long time, but I was hoping someone can explain how to use the wall tool and be able to edit the thickness in the object info palette. It seems I have to dive deep into the components field and then make an edit within there. Please help Quote Link to comment
zoomer
The advanced way is to create and use Wall Styles and use Wall Components. You can edit these later and all Walls that use that Style will adapt if confirmed. You can also change the Style of Walls to another Style. To edit a Multi Component Wall it is also necessary to go into the Components to edit their thickness, to influence the thickness of the whole package. For Unstyled Walls, it is pretty new to me that these can be Multi Component also. I thought these were Simple Walls only. These you could edit in thickness in the OIP. The problem was that you can draw them with typical left/right/middle mode from Center Line, but changing thickness always originated from the middle. So you may lose you correct Wall Location. I don't see any advantages for unstyled multi component walls, the handling looks too complex for me. Why not save them as as a style after creation ? Quote Link to comment
