(Things like Slab Cut Faces now appearing with Clip Cube and such ...) This is the large majority of features that were considered "new functionality." There are more that might not be user visible at all, rengineering tasks where things are rebuilt in modern programming languages, dialogs are rebuilt, etc. 1 Quote Link to comment
zoomer
So is there some kind of a solved bugs list that I don't miss any ? Videos not (yet) existing ? Quote Link to comment

If you DON'T use the Migration Assistant, you'll need to add the brand new menus and tools via the workspace editor, but otherwise I have not heard of anything else. 1 Quote Link to comment
Patrick Fritsch
Jim on the service select portal in the training videos section the C4D texture import video is the same as the C4D Export...? 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 14, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 14, 2016 Attached is a complete list of the tasks that went into Vectorworks 2017. (I'm using an attachment because it would be an insanely long forum post.) If you have any questions about any of the specific tasks, give me the name or Id and I can explain them in full! vwtasks_22 (2).xlsx 1 Quote Link to comment

Patrick Fritsch
Jim any idea when the concept of copying components from other styles as per the new windows and doors styles will be available for walls and slabs...this has been requested many times and I find it SO annoying having to recreate an already existing component. My personal guess is that it would depend on the reception of Window and Door Styles, if the system is well liked, it is very likely we would spread this type of control to more tools. 1 Quote Link to comment

Although I think this new method is a good start, I still think it should be taken one step further where we could pull components from a pre-defined/user customizable "materials library" instead of being limited to searching exist wall/slab styles. One advantage is that this library could be put in the cloud to share with all project members to ensure standardization. 1 Quote Link to comment

Now is a fantastic time for new wishlist items, Engineering is is already in the planning for the next version. (They live about 18 months into the future.) Also, anyone with a wish that would be changed because of features we just released, please feel free to bump your previous wishes with an update, I will be catching up on those in the coming days. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tom Klaber
Now that renderworks is included - how does that affect the Service Select pricing? Quote Link to comment
Tom Klaber
The Renderworks video mentions the ability to create panoramic images - does this include the full 360 images that can be viewed in VR or any 360 panno viewer? Quote Link to comment

All questions about pricing should go to sales, because the pricing structures are different for various users I can't discuss it publicly. (Also I'm very likely to get it wrong and I make enough of a fool of myself already ) Quote Link to comment
Tom Klaber
(Website Issue Heads-Up) It appears that there is a small issue with the vectorworks.net/2017 page. The log-in button only works if you are the very top - when it transitions to the sticky header it loses its links. 1 Quote Link to comment

I think it's referring to the exported VR webviews, they're a full 360 panoramic environment. However I'm not entirely positive, I didn't work directly on the super flashy videos. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 14, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 14, 2016 One I wanted to draw attention to earlier, check out Interior Elevations: Quote Link to comment
Tom Klaber
This is a game changer. The interior elevation has been one of the major sticking points and road blocks to building full models. It seemed crazy to have to try and crop 4 section viewports for every room. I am not ready to give this whole BIM thing a fair shake. 1 Quote Link to comment

Markvl
If I open up the file that the symbols are in and pick the symbol as part of the current drawing it will show in the preview panel but if I go down to the same file as shown in my libraries section it doesn't work. Odd. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
@JimW- on the Interior Elevations OIP, do the check-boxes for North, South, East & West reflect the direction of project North as set by a Heliodon? Quote Link to comment
