Josh NZ
I have used a closed polygon on class none to create a roof. As soon as created the roof is invisible despite all classes being on. All settings for attributes within the roof are set to class. That class is on and all attributes are set to show. The only way I know roof is there is to select all and can see the selection highlight. In Top/Plan view it shows correct as white fill with black outline. Can someone please let me know what is going on? Edited July 14, 2016 by Josh NZ Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, Yes had this issue and stumbled on a solution to the problem. See attached. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
Thanks for that Alan. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
Hmmm having the issue again and the above fix isn't working. Have attached three images showing whats happening. Image one is how the roof appears. Image two is when I enter the roof plane object to adjust the guiding shape. Image three is how the roof appears after I exit the the above edit space without making any changes. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, I'd say you have the invisible sections of roof on another class, and or your class is not set to use at creation and the class that those parts of the roof are on has not fill in the class. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
Well 2017 and still getting the same issue. Classes all on, use at creation ticked. Quote Link to comment
Tom Klaber
Roof objects and 2017 are not friends. I have had all sorts of problems of them quite literally disintegrating, not showing up as shown above, not accepting textures. It seems to be a troubled object. Quote Link to comment
Taproot
In case you haven't checked this already... Make sure that your polygon from which the roof is created (or the polygon of a 'roof object') fill is set to "solid" not "hatch" or "none"... override the class settings if you have to. Anything other than "solid" can result in the roof objects showing up invisible. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
Thanks Taproot, yeah have checked and is set to solid black outline with solid white fill. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@Josh NZHave you tried (I fixed it this way) select all the roofs, select OIP layer. select any other design layer and then without deselecting the roof select the original design layer, then back to the drawing. Does it change??? Quote Link to comment
