Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted June 13, 2016 Author Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 13, 2016 Folks! As of September 14th, 2016 we are going to be changing our upgrade policy. All users with a version of Vectorworks more than 4 releases old will no longer be able to upgrade to the current version of Vectorworks at a discounted price. This means that if you have Vectorworks 2013, you can upgrade to Vectorworks 2016 before that date for a discount until September 14th, but after that date you would have to purchase a completely new license at full price. Normally something like this would just go out in an email, but we wanted this to be as public as possible. A few specific clarifications: 1) If you have a Service Select subscription, this change does not affect you. 2) If you regularly upgrade every year, every other year, or every two years, this change does not affect you. 3) If you use a FREE educational version of Vectorworks, this change does not affect you at all. If you use a PAID educational version, this change affects you. 4) If you use Vectorworks 2013 or older and have ANY intention of upgrading, whether you intend to subscribe to Service Select or not, you should do so BEFORE September 14th. Otherwise you will end up paying full price. 5) This does NOT mean that anything will be done by us to stop or impede your use of older versions. This is a change to the upgrade pricing policy only and does not affect the software directly. If you have any additional questions or need anything clarified, please let me know and I will do so.
