Josh NZ
I have a grid of rectangular Columns drawn. Have ticked "use centre mark" which by default draws a vertical and horizontal line which basically makes a grid of 4 squares, not very clear that it is a centre mark. I need to show as an X and change the line weight and dash so not so dominant, however I can't find where this is done. Can anyone please help? Quote Link to comment
jeandm
Hi, Just like Josh, I am looking to change the centre mark. Is there a way to achieve that, please? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
LarryO
Unfortunately it would appear that the column tool does not place the centre mark into an annotation class. I don't think any refinement of these structural tools has occurred since before 2013. You can layout using 2d steel shapes and those PIO objects create thin dashed centre lines with a centre mark. The embedded cross hairs cannot be rotated independently of the steel profile. 3d steel shapes do not give an option for cross hairs but you can always place your own to suit. I have not loaded up VW2021 yet to see if their are any changes yet. Edited February 12, 2021 by LarryO wrong word 1 Quote Link to comment
jeandm
Hi @LarryO Thank you very much for your response and being so thorough providing alternatives. I think I will create a hybrid symbol so I can control graphics a bit better. I won't need to take quantities of get a schedule from the drawings. Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
