Support for 3DConnexions' range of hardware devices is indeed in the pipe and actively being developed now. Much of it specifically for the Enterprise model but apparently any work done for it will directly benefit any hardware that uses the 3DxWare software package's controls.

This is encouraging to hear. I sure hope most or all of the older 3D Conn. Space Pilot series are mostly or fully supported. WADR for 3DConnexion they sure do seem to rev hardware a lot with few, perhaps *no* changes to the basic innovation of the 3d nav knob itself.

As far as VW's support for / use of 3D nav using a true 3D controller, one holy grail (among several, I'm sure,) is simply to be able to use the full 6 degrees of freedom exactly as one does in the demo app that 3DConnexion provides with their driver software package.

'=' key is Mirror for me - standard....

OK, that means (´) on my german qwertz keyboard.

Maybe also the reason why it's not displayed in the Tool Tips for me ?

Or maybe all Mac users ?

I don't think that my Workspace has anything to do with the Tool Tips.

I won't touch it anymore and wait for VW 2017

A nice thing with about 3DConnexions 3D Navigation in VW is that VW has

activated "Lock Horizon" by default. As I don't like Trackball Rotation at all.

(Rolling sideways along Viewing Axis)

I would prefer a system wide setting or switch between Flyover and Walkthrough

in Quick Settings Bar, no matter if orthogonal or perspective.

(For me 99,5 % Flyover Mode only)

I am thinking of getting a SpaceMouse. I am planning on going full on BIM - and this really could be helpful. Is there a plan to support the Enterprise?

Please vote for the Space Mouse Enterprise Support (the small up and down arrow on the upper left of the site) - to increase the pressure to the development ;-)

Thank you all for your support!
