Spotlight fixture numbering rows & columns

Select a group of fixtures and number them in a grid pattern.

Now we have Left/Right or Top/Bottom and reverses. How about X+ or X- AND Y+ or Y- AND which first. Think of worksheet sorting as a model. Heck might as well add a Z option while you're in there.

Then I could do a whole (simple) stage in one pass, rather than selecting each position and continuing the numbering. Or a grid of up lights at an event, or light fixtures in a architectural plan, or a studio pipe grid.

Josh Benghiat's Savvy Sequencer or Sam Jones' Autoplot Tools for Spotlight handle this task & more, if I understand your request.

What WOULD be great though, is in the Number Instruments dialog if those dropdown menus for direction and multi-circuits were actually two lines of radio buttons with temp keyboard shortcuts (like in align/distribute dialog).

That would make my workflow a whole lot faster, especially because I'm often number and renumbering as things change in various revisions of the plot.
