Phil hunt
any way of changing the dashed hidden line to another colour i know i can darken or lighten the line but if i could change this to red it would help thanks Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Check back through to the original object, some part of it may not be set by class. This is usually the only reason you cant change an item in the viewport. I found I couldn't change the site model to in the viewport whilst having another colour in the design layer and found it was in the graphic setting of the site model OIP not showing by class but a colour. AlanW
Hi, You mean like this?? This is all done through the viewport including the dotted lines. HTH Edited May 5, 2016 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
nplache
No sure if I am understanding your need correctly but... There is no way to control the dashed colour and hidden line colour independently in one viewport render. (Could be a nice feature tho) If that is what you are needing to do you will have to create duplicate objects using classes to control the line colour. Then create two overlaping/stacked Viewports using a combination of; Background "render style (if desired)", Foreground : Hidden Line / Dashed Hidden Line I have attached a basic example image. Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
Phil hunt
That's perfect nic Exactly what I need to do. Shame that I can't change this in the viewport without having to make copies but in the meantime this is a sure fix. Thanks Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, You can certainly get the front to be different colour than the back by using render styles through the viewport but still looking at the back colour. Only black as yet. Will see. Edited May 5, 2016 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
