Interesting, I've never seen it reverse. Are you changing the stacking order of your objects during editing? (ie. Send to Front or one of the other commands) I'm pretty sure stacking order determines what gets removed from what.

I like your wish but I'm not sure how it gets applied in situations where there are more than two objects in a solid subtraction. I often subtract multiple objects from something during a single operation.

And I always do convert complex Solid Add/Substract to Generic Solids

before I do further Additions and Substractions.

And possible undo and rebuild if, for example if there were some little Gaps.

As I mostly model for geometry exports to 3D Mesh Apps I have to combine

Solids that touch at their vertices to not get problems with faces orientation

later.

So I combine whole interior Walls of one Floor and such things. Beside it may

lead to corrupt Solids because of geometry imperfections, at the end a certain

level of complexity always lead to problems for me.

So I "Add" step by step and convert to Generic Solids after each step to check

geometry and to decrease complexity of Solids History.

In 99% of cases I do not need the History and Parametric of Solids as I can easily

modify them with PushPull Tool later.

It is just Cylinders subtracted from other geometry that will destroy resulting

Generic Solids when you edit them later.

Thanks for all the input

I will post a file that shows what i mean, if i can find it.

99% of the times i do need the editing history. I design allot of furniture and its very(!) handy that i can go back into the different subtractions and shells. Not having a editing history is not an option because of all the different iterations i make to get the best result and for the different sized versions.
