Guest unlimited
I am having a problem with Marionette networks being affected in files that have the User Origin offset from the Internal Origin. The attached simple file and network demonstrates the problem. You can see that the polygon to be extruded is being offset by the difference in distance between the Internal Origin and the User Origin. A file in which the User Origin and Internal Origin are synchronised would not have the same issue. Is this working as designed? Many thanks, Martyn Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 16, 2016 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 16, 2016 I don't know if this situation was explored when the node was created, but I'm adding it to our list of things to look into. Thanks for reporting! Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 16, 2016 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 16, 2016 Martyn, Can you check if the node in this file works how you expect it would? I did some preliminary testing, but you know the problem better than I. Thanks! Marissa Quote Link to comment
Guest unlimited
Hi Marissa, Works perfectly in the test file. Thank you! I'll doublecheck it in some beefier networks, but unless you hear back, assume it fixed Would be interested to know if this issue may affect other nodes. I'll keep my eye out. Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 16, 2016 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 16, 2016 Yes! Please let me know if other nodes are affected/show the same issue. I'm trying my best to make our default library as consistent and accurate as possible. Quote Link to comment
tavbut
Hi @Marissa Farrell, I'm having a similar issue. The get vertex node is giving me internal coordinates, but I need to get user coordinates. Is there a way to get the user origin shift so I can transform the internal coordinates? I also have another doubt... I need the marionette network to handle multiple objects and perform a set of operations on each one separately... I have modified almost every node in this network to handle lists instead of single elements and loop through the list inside each node, so that the data coming from 1 object does not mix with the other. I think I may have to learn a bit more on how to handle lists and the data flow... could you take a look at some of the nodes in. this doc and point me in the right direction?
