Christian Fekete
Is it possible to add a hole in the wall for the med cabinet symbol? I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Note that my symbol includes a 2D and a 3D part and that in both there is the cabinet and the recessed electric outlet and the above light fixture. Thank you Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Yes. Edit the 3D part of the symbol. Make an extrude or other solid that is the size, shape, and location of where you want the wall hole to be. Cut that object (Command-X or Control-X) Still inside the symbol, right click on a blank space. Choose 3D Wall Hole Component. Paste in Place. That geometry will now be cut out of the wall. It can be a wall recess or a hole all the way through the wall. You'll have to pay attention to the symbol options to make sure that the symbol inserts in walls and in 2D it breaks or doesn't break the wall lines the way you want. hth mk Edited March 3, 2016 by michaelk Quote Link to comment
