move a Marionette object

Recommended Posts

New goal: I built a frame for a door. When I run the script the frame moves with the door. If I change the door’s place and run the script again, the frame sticks to the door's new place.

Question: I can I achieve the same result when the script is converted into a Marionette object?

As soon as it’s converted it won’t follow my door.

I'm investigating this for you.

Right now, since a Marionette Object essentially uses its own coordinate space, I don't think the object would be able to follow the door using your current script.

I also attempted to work with using a door as Control Geometry, but had no success since I believe that has to be 2D.

I do have an idea, though.

I'll update you if I get it working.

Thanks Marissa

I also wanted to manage using the parametric constraint but only works in 2D

if you could have a look at my frame pb in the 'visible invisible and ohhhh textures'post it would be great
