Recommended Posts

Creatives in the architecture, landscape and entertainment industries are invited to join international professionals and students in Chicago for the 2016 Vectorworks Design Summit, taking place April 25-27 at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. The conference includes thought-leadership breakout sessions, extensive training, an inside look into Vectorworks® software’s future development cycle, as well as exciting networking opportunities with Vectorworks software engineers, third-party partners and industry influencers.

“The excitement in the air at our inaugural 2015 Design Summit was contagious, especially when we surprised attendees with a sneak peek into our Vectorworks 2016 release to a room of audible 'Oohs' and 'Aahs' as we announced each feature," said Vectorworks Chief Marketing Officer Stewart Rom. “We can’t wait to divulge more exclusive updates planned for future releases at this year’s conference, as well as provide a path to help Vectorworks users all around the world streamline their workflows, solve daily design challenges and be inspired by this community of visionaries that is transforming the world through great design.”

Speakers and Credits

The Design Summit kicks off on Monday, April 25 with optional, pre-conference training on the full line of Vectorworks products, as well as new features like Project Sharing, Energos and Marionette, and a new addition to the Vectorworks product line, ESP Vision, which provides Vectorworks Spotlight users with a complete design, previsualization and production solution.

The following two days open with keynotes by industry leaders, and offer more than 17 hours of one-on-one facetime with Vectorworks tech support and over 30 thought-leadership presentations by practitioners in the architecture, landscape and entertainment industries from firms that share a passion for design, including Flansburgh Architects, the Office of James Burnett, Exhibit Logic and Itten+Brechbühl AG.

In addition, the event offers more than 32 Continuing Education credit opportunities, including AIA LUs and LA CES PDHs, with presentations covering everything from collaborative BIM workflows, energy modeling, and graphical scripting to exhibit design, rendering tricks and site analysis.
