Webinar 3 question

Hi,

In the 005.2-Color Range Saved view you have placed a negative node between each of the RGB components and an abs after the Remap Domain.

Why is this done? the abs removes the negative property so why place it there?

Also the Getxyz and Point3d in this location is this just another way of separating the RGB numbers at first and then placing the 3 separate numbers back into a (0,0,0) format?

Thanks

Hey Alan- so the reason I use a negative node is to invert the values - if you take them out you notice that the colors switch their order - It was a way to make the "max" color match the "max" value. They are not truly necessary - there are other ways to make this work.

(I had to double check this because when I work on definitions for a while - things can get redundant because I find different ways to solve problems as I work, but I believe it is true.)
