gaby
Hi, newbee here. I wondered if anyone could take a look at my screen grab. Why is my texture not showing on the outside of my wall. Its in open GL and the class is all set up. I just can't figure it out? Its clearly just solid white on the outside face?? http://imgur.com/2xw1DeG Quote Link to comment
Markvl
I would check to see, if your using by object for texturing, what your top/sides/bottom are set to. You may find that your sides are set to something else. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 4, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 4, 2016 ^ This is most likely the issue. "By Object" setting can be found on the Render tab of the Object Info palette with the wall object selected. Change the "Part" setting to left, pick the texture, and do the same for right and the other parts listed. If you ALWAYS want all sides of the wall to show one texture, you can click "Revert to Overall" after selecting each part one at a time and that will link one or more of the parts to the Overall texture setting. barkest
You have a wall object and you are texturing 'overall'. Change overall to none and then select the correct side of the wall - either left or right. If you are unsure then go to top plan and you will see an arrow on the top of the wall (with the wall selected) and then you can determine whether it is right or left. Overall does not texture the right or left of a wall and should be avoided. Quote Link to comment
