bc
In a blank file I create a rectangle with a fill which has 75% transparency set via the Attributes Palette. I then extrude this and put in an isometric view and OpenGL render shows solid. Final render shows as solid. I can get there by editing a texture color/transparency but I don't want to have to. Is this a bug or some setting I have inadvertently turned off? Or is this only for planar objects? Thanks Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi BC, Opacity is (and always has been) a 2d only feature. So you'll need to use a texture with transparency. Sorry! Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Irritated me too, lately. 1 Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Yes, transparency for 3D objects can only achieved via textures. 1 Quote Link to comment
