BG
Hi. This might be user-error, but when you have floor plan using walls with components - say a typical timber wall with plasterboard lining each side, when you turn the class off for the lining, the wall cap disappears on the ends of walls and at openings. Is there a way to keep the wall caps turned on? Thanks Quote Link to comment
nrkuhl
I think what you want is in the Edit Wall Style dialogue: click Edit Wall Attributes and then at the bottom set Wall Caps to Use Wall Class. Quote Link to comment
BG
Thanks Under the wall attributes there are two options. 1. Use Wall Line Attributes 2. Use Component Line Attributes My wall styles had option 1 selected. I changed this to option 2 and the wall caps appeared so that's good. With option 1. When you have a wall made up of various components, what 'wall line' would this be referring to? With option 2, which component does VW use to cap the wall? The core component? Quote Link to comment
nrkuhl
Option 1: so far as I know, this refers to the settings in that dialog. Option 2: no idea Quote Link to comment
D Wood
In the situation you describe, the plasterboard wall lining has been returned across the end of the framing, so when you turn the linings class off, the wall cap disappears. If you want the wall cap to remain visible, you could draw it separately (don't use the wall cap tool) and give it a class other than Wall Lining. Quote Link to comment
