RWSD
I wish to try the above. I have successfuly installed the plug in on my MacBook [manually, the installer doesn't work]. I have edited my workspace to place the Remote menu item in the Tools menu. I have installed the app on my iPad Air and scanned the QR code, but then connection fails with the iPad app announcing that I should update Vectorworks Remote on my mobile device to version 1.5.x.x. The current version on the App Store is 1.4.1. What gives? Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 30, 2015 Also just to confirm, what version of Vectorworks are you using? I'm getting in touch with the cloud team now, I can see 1.5.0 available on Android but I don't have any iOS devices on me at the moment to check the App store. Quote Link to comment
RWSD
Vw2016. As I said above, latest version on App store is 1.4.1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 30, 2015 Right thats what you're seeing, the issue is that the App store presents different versions to users depending on a number of factors, sometimes you might see 1.1 on iOS 6 but 1.8 on iOS 9 or something like that. But in your case, since you have iOS 9 that shouldn't be a limiting factor, I just needed more info for the Cloud team. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 30, 2015 Looks like the App Store review process is holding up the latest version of the Remote app for iOS. In the meantime, you can get the plugin that will work with the current iOS version from these links below, their filenames are each marked with the OS they are intended for respectively: Vectorworks 2015: https://s3.amazonaws.com/vectorworks-cloud-downloads/VectorworksRemote/2015/Vectorworks+Remote+1.4.0.Mac.dmg https://s3.amazonaws.com/vectorworks-cloud-downloads/VectorworksRemote/2015/Vectorworks+Remote+1.4.0.Windows-32.zip https://s3.amazonaws.com/vectorworks-cloud-downloads/VectorworksRemote/2015/Vectorworks+Remote+1.4.0.Windows-64.zip Vectorworks 2016: https://s3.amazonaws.com/vectorworks-cloud-downloads/VectorworksRemote/2016/Vectorworks+Remote+1.4.0.Mac.dmg https://s3.amazonaws.com/vectorworks-cloud-downloads/VectorworksRemote/2016/Vectorworks+Remote+1.4.0.Windows-64.zip Quote Link to comment
RWSD
Ok, thanks for quick solution Jim. Be good if your colleagues explained this stuff in the install info though... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 30, 2015 It wasn't supposed to happen, the Android and Apple flavors were supposed to launch at the same time, but on the Apple side the approval process for apps got hung up and delayed, shouldn't be for more than a day or two but it was unknown when the installation doc was being created.
