J Lucas
VW 2015 introduced the ability to directly manipulate elements of a Curtainwall object. At the time it seemed to be implied that this type of parametric functionality was to be a key part of the future development of VW. Has VW 2016 extended this type of functionality in any BIM objects? I have been hopefully exploring VW 2016 looking for it. Edited November 20, 2015 by J Lucas Quote Link to comment
J Lucas
Jim- Was this type of functionality extended to any other BIM objects in 2016? If not, do you expect that it will be in the future? It seems like this type of functionality could be transformational for all the key BIM tools and VW in general: walls, roofs, slabs, windows, doors......stairs. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 23, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 23, 2015 The hands-on concept has been applied to a few tools, but so far Curtain Wall is the only BIM-ish one. Deform and Subdiv got them right from the start but I have not seen that sort of UI logic applied to anything like a Window or Door so far. Quote Link to comment
