Cadplan Architecture
One for Jim really. We were really hoping that 2016 SP1 would at last have the custom option for doors in settings so that we can have more options for bifold doors e.g. an uneven number of leaves. When will this happen Jim? Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 29, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 29, 2015 It was not among the listed changes for 2016, and it's extremely rare to have completely new functionality added in a Service Pack. On occasion things like interoperability features will be added that way (DWG compatibility, IFC export updates, etc) but not new functions of tools or commands. Unfortunately I do not have any dates for when something like that would be added, official or unofficial. Quote Link to comment
Cadplan Architecture
Thanks Jim, it's been requested for several years though. I really hope that it will be added soon. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 30, 2015 Unfortunately just because something was requested frequently or for long periods of time does not ensure that it will be included. It depends on a much larger list of factors, including a lot of localization concerns and things outside of my circle of knowledge. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
I'd bet that if someone were really good at Marionette (hint, hint Vectorworks, Inc.) they could create their own custom bifold door PIO with an uneven number of leaves. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
Those of us who have WinDoor can draw folding doors with uneven numbers of leaves. In the OIP I can choose to have up to 9 leaves on the left and up to 9 on the right, in any combination. So it can be done, someone just needs to talk to Julian Carr .....................
