Include Retaining Wall Site modifier & Hardscape Object with Architect

The title pretty much describes it - I wish that the 'Retaining Wall Site Modifier' & 'Hardscape Objects' that are included with Landmark would also be included with Architect.

All of my projects are modest single-family homes and typically my projects do not have a Landscape Architect on the design team. Many times I have wanted to use just those two objects, just so that I could more accurately integrate my building into the site model.

It's only fair since Landmark got the Curtain Wall tool (?) and I can't remember any Landscape Architect I have ever worked with needing to use a curtain wall tool. 😉

 

EDIT 03/2020: This wishlist request is partially fulfilled in Vw2020: The Help File says that ‘Hardscape’ objects are now available in Architect (but ‘Retaining Wall’ Site Modifiers are still only available in Landmark / Designer).

Yes - The when modules were introduced, it seemed more like Vectorworks was trying to be just like "other software" with modules rather than addressing some need of the user base.

Personally I'd like to see just Fundamentals and Designer as the two options, Renderworks bundled into both, If not just a single package for everyone. But I know there are price point issues and market placement to be concerned with.

Jim, has anything been done about including Retaining Walls in the Architect version of VWs? I'm on 2017 and can find any menu commands.

 

It's crazy I can create a site model and add site modifiers but a retaining wall isn't one of these!

Having ’Hardscapes’ in Architect is a welcome addition, and coupled with the new Hardscape align mode, hopefully this will make warping driveways easier to model accurately in 3D. Thank you!

I'm adding my voice to this request.  The retaining wall site modifier is still not included in VW Architect 2021.  

 

Retaining walls that are part of the architectural scope of work are such a common need, that this should be included in VW Architect.  

 

I would think that this is entirely a business decision & not a technical one, though I don't understand what the point is.  This is the only tool in Landmark that I have any interest in, and there's zero chance that I will be upgrading to Design series just to get it.  I'm guessing most architects are in the same position, so this is downgrading the functionality of the program with little upside for VW in terms of increased sales.  Anyone from VW management on the forum who can respond/confirm?
