Beginning tomorrow and continuing over the next three months, global design software developer Vectorworks, Inc.® will host six BIM Camp events in major U.S. cities including: Boston, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles and San Francisco. During each intensive, four-hour workshop, industry experts will further the award-winning program's mission of guiding attendees from simple sketch to implementing powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools as part of the design process.

In addition to benefiting from real-world and up-to-date BIM expertise, attendees will have the opportunity to meet their licensing requirements by earning three AIA LUs and one HSW credit for completing any of the BIM Camps. During these educational sessions, each of which includes a complimentary lunch from Vectorworks, fellow architects and designers can engage, network and get inspired by industry thought leadership and best practices.

"Our BIM Camps are geared toward those who might be unsure of how to use the cutting-edge technology to its fullest capacity," said Rubina Siddiqui, Senior BIM solutions specialist at Vectorworks. "To that end, our sessions provide helpful background information and practical applications to place BIM at the heart of a designer's creative process."

All of the BIM Camps take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dates and locations of upcoming camps include:

• October 6, 2015 at Boston Society of Architects in Boston, MA

• October 8, 2015 at AIA NY's Center for Architecture in New York, NY

• October 28, 2015 at AIA Chicago in Chicago, IL

• November 10, 2015 at AIA New Orleans in New Orleans, LA

• December 8, 2015 at AIA Los Angeles in Los Angeles, CA

• December 10, 2015 at AIA San Francisco in San Francisco, CA

The cost to attend a BIM Camp is $25 per person. All proceeds from the camps benefit the Vectorworks Design Scholarship, an international design competition that supports the next generation of creative visionaries.
