nycL45
Resource Browser palette: scroll is not available; must pull down & to side to see and select symbols. Object Info palette, Data tab: only Record Formats consistently appears, the Record Fields is the 2nd most frequently appearing and the Record Info field, with typed in content, appears least. Also, when the Object Info palette is working properly and the Properties palette is opened, via Control-click on object, next to the Object Info palette the Record Formats section of the Properties palette has info while the Record Fields and Record Info sections are empty. Cold and hot reboots are ineffective. If there is no correction, I may have to export to VW2015. Edited September 20, 2015 by nycL45 Quote Link to comment
zoomer
And there is a new entry in Ressource Browser "Show Object Type" Cool. But I had hoped you could hide unwanted sections completly. It does only close or open the "folders" (?) I do not see much sense in it as I can click the arrow* with a mouse click too. (beside that i may need scrolling) And it gets even worse with "Show Object Type" when you have hierarchical Symbol folders and are in a Subfolder. And there is unfortunately no drag and drop of Symbol Folders. * Why do I have to click exactly on the little arrow space and not just the whole folder space, which would be much easier. Same for "Stack Order" of Layers. Edited September 20, 2015 by zoomer Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Resource Browser palette: scroll is not available; must pull down & to side to see and select symbols. BTW No scrolling problems in Symbol (Sub) Folders here .... Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
For what it's worth, "Show Object Types" existed in previous versions too. I don't think there's anything new here? Quote Link to comment

Bruce Kieffer
Confirmed, there is a problem with scrolling in the Resource Browser. But, it seems to be fixed after I resize the Resource Browser window. More testing needed. Zoomer, please use the link Jim gave earlier to submit the bug. zoomer
Bruce, this is not a BUG. It works as designed. There is no "wrong design submission" It would go into the wish list in the best case. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I could not scroll down all the way in the list in the resource browser until I resized the window. That's all I know! Quote Link to comment

zoomer
Ah, it was about scrolling. I meant the usefulness of the "Show Object Types" thing which I should submit as a bug. But as I said, no scrolling issues here. I even un-docked it and resized it as small as possible, I can scroll down here. Ah sorry Bruce, I should better read the pots I answer to. Jim's link to Bug Submission was : http://www.vectorworks.net/support/bugsubmit.php It gives a server error for me each time but if you try a second time it should work. CarlJdP
Another Menu Issue I've noticed (VW 2015) File > Open recent > File names are cut off after a certain amount of letters, for instance, if I have files called 'The Grand Lux Hotel V1-0' and so on, I would never be able to see which version of the file i'm opening from recent files..
