Hunter B Posted March 18, 2003 Share Posted March 18, 2003 These days when I save a VW 10.1 file I get an icon that is not VW's... it actually opens as a Photoshop file... or at least tries to open it. How can I fix this...I don't want to have to assign a program to the icon whenever I open a VW file.. it should automatically do that. Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted March 18, 2003 Share Posted March 18, 2003 Select one of the VW files. Right click on the file and select Properties. You should see something that says Opens With. Click on the Change button to the right of that. Select VW from the applications list. This will update all the .mcd files to use this application to open them with. If you have image files that have been exported from VW, those will use PhotoShop icons if you have PhotoShop set to be your default image viewer. If you still have the problem after that, you may need to reset the registry entries for VW. Let me know if the above doesn't work and I'll explain how to edit the registry.
