minotto
Importing an image file to be used in the window of the house as a background to the interior shows up in Open GL but not with the Renderworks Background Physical Sky Interior. Using the image as a Renderworks Background works fine. But it seems that the Physical Sky Interior produces more realistic lighting. Why is that and is there a way to use image files with the Physical Sky Interior setting? Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
physical sky is probably an hdri image, whereas your imported image is not. The hdri produces light, regular images do not. Quote Link to comment
minotto
I didn't want the imported image to produce light. I just wanted it to show up when using the Renderworks background Physical Sky Interior, as if the scene existed outside the house. Maybe creating an image prop is the answer. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted August 4, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 4, 2015 Environment Lighting can be disabled separately from the background image either in Custom Renderworks Settings under "Lighting Options" or in the settings for your Renderworks Style under "Lighting".
