sheet showing in edit mode

Hi,

I can't find an answer to this online.

I'm working on a file that has sheet layers. When editing a symbol from the resource browser, a blank sheet shows up in the file in the background.

Is there a way to turn this off?

Do you mean you see a page area in the background?

This can be disabled in File > Page Setup by unchecking Show Page Boundary.

If thats not it, post a screenshot of what you see in that editing mode and I can have a look:

Yes in the background.

Show Page Boundary is selected but greyed out and i'm not able to change it.

I did notice thought that the page only shows up when editing a symbol from the resource browser if a sheet layer is in the main window.

If a design layer is, the sheet does not show up in the editing of the symbol.

Thats what it is, forgot about that, if you currently have a sheet layer active it'll always show the page since thats the main thing sheet layers often focus on.

If you really don't want to see the page boundary, you could create a custom page size with zero margins.

If you want it to work with a printer that does have unprintable margins you could set the page size to the equivalent size as the printable area with margins. Then when you print it "should" work.
