Benjamin Weill
This may be a novice question, but is there anyway to select all of one symbol type in a file? When dealing with lighting instruments, there is a way to select a specific light and then select all the others of the same type, but I've never been able to find a way to do this with plain old symbols. Pat Stanford
Tools menu: Custom Selection. Select Only, Execute Immediately OK. Symbol is BLAH Click the little box on the right to select the symbol from the file. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
If all of them are visible set your Layer settings to show/snap/modify others and use the Magic Wand tool. Double click on the tool to set the criteria and choose "Symbol Name". Now click on an instance of the symbol in question and they all should be selected. Kevin Quote Link to comment
Hippocode
Going further on Pat's suggestion you can also choose to create a script from this command if you decide to need this action multiple times. Quote Link to comment
