Changing window types?

I'm just beginning to use the Window and Door insertion tools and am having a problem.

When I open the 'Create Object' menu for windows and enter the type and parameters of the new window type I want, click OK, and try to insert it . . . VW inserts the PREVIOUS window type, not the one I thought I had just created.

Is there any way to have VW 'forget' the previous one?

Double clicking the tool to get the Create Object window just does a one-off. If you select the Window tool, then click the Preferences button and customize your settings there, then place multiple windows, it will use those settings as the default until you change it.

Another call for Window and Door Types. Just like wall types - it would be great if you could configure a set number of doors and windows types and then select them from a drop down list.

You can convert to Plug-in Object when you create the symbols. (under other options). Also you can copy the existing window/door setting by holding alt & cmd with click ( mac).

I've just copied the previous window or door and changed the parameters. And Yes, it would be great to have each in a design be a resource.
