steebeebo
Hi Fellow vectorworkers, I'm on 2014. tried finding the answer to this but its been dragging me. Will appreciate the help. The class texture attribute on a 3d object doesnt show in top/plan view. whats the work around on this? The round table and the meeting table share the same class texture. Texture shows in the round table (VW resource) and not on the extruded geometry. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
3D objects show as wireframe in top plan view. The table is an exception because it's really a parametric object. There are several ways to do what you want. 1. Draw the shape of the object's footprint in top/plan directly on top of the 3d object. Give it the hatch or color or tile you want. Select both the 3d and 2d objects. Modify > Convert to Symbol. That symbol will have separate 2d and 3D characteristics. 2. If you have Architect or Designer, select the 3d object , AEC > Create Auto Hybrid The Auto Hybrid object will have some parametric ways of changing how the 2D is displayed. hth mk Quote Link to comment
