Recommended Posts

I am doing a survey plan, and measureing the angle of lines, i want 0 deg to be north, currently 0 is east. I am sure there is a way to change that, but i can't find it! any help out there would be appreciated.

If you use the Property line tool and select bearing this should be set to N 0°00'00" E, so the first line you type without changing any angle will be north. you use angles relative to north as per the survey.

Just leave the N & E as is and just type in the angle and distance, so going east will be N 90°00'00" E south will be N 180°00'00" E etc

True, but what i have is a series of lines that i have to give the length and angle for. Lines that i want to be an angle of 270 degrees are measuring 0. Another example a line that i want to measure 180 degrees is measuring -90.
