Any file at all? Even a simple sample extruded cube crashes out?

In any case, they should get in touch with support directly, we havent had that in any broad set of users. They will likely need a file that it happened in an this from that user's machine:

I would expect its something file based, but without seeing a diagnostic or file id only be able to recommend moving his geometry into a new doc via this procedure:

http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/790/Layer+Import

That would clear the issue in MOST cases if it was file-specific. Otherwise, if the machine is below system requirements, that can happen, I can also determine that from the diagnostic. Not all of the new Macs are acceptable for working with Vectorworks.

It's hard to say without seeing the drawing, but when I've experienced instant crashes it's almost always-

- corrupted texture (usually from a much older version of VW)

- corrupted geometry (usually from a much older version of VW)

- self intersecting geometry (usually from a much older version of VW)

- objects with 10,000+ mesh objects (usually downloaded from web, created in another surface modeling application)

- drawings with 100+ light objects

- any use of a multiple extrude
