louissanders85
I could not find an answer through this board or any other help line but whenever I place a decal onto an object it is repeated on the reverse of that object. For instance; i am applying a logo onto the front of a package and the logo is repeated on the rear. I am unable to uncheck the "tile image" checkbox as it is grayed-out. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks all. —Louis Quote Link to comment
AlanW
As soon as you put a texture on the object the decal button will become active. Quote Link to comment
Phil hunt
I think you have to create another surface on the rear decals will pass through the surface on the front and show on the rear it happens in most render programmes Use the extract surface tool and extrude to 1mm on the rear surface then apply the Same material but on a different class this will hide the decal on the rear .... the extract surface is a great tool to solve this problem. Let me know if you need any further help Quote Link to comment
Elite Exhibits
Would it not be easier to simply make a "Decal" in the traditional way? Create a texture with a transparent mask and apply it to a thin shape. - Peter (Page one is the New Decal (thru and out the back) - Page two is the traditional method front only) Quote Link to comment
