Instruments in 3D Facing Down (?)

If its just that file, i suspect the default symbol being used has lost its record links as michaelk suggests, if you can post it here we can take a look and see if this is the case.

Alternatively, you can follow the steps here to make sure each part of the symbol has the record assigned, it should be easy to repair:

If you are editing the 3D resource and it's showing at a 45-deg angle it's not a current Vectorworks symbol.

When you edit the 3D portion of a symbol the instrument should be pointed straight down. Once placed the lighting device will tilt all unfocused instruments at a default angle of 30-deg.

Yes, if you replace the fixture with the one from 2015 it should fix itself. Before importing you may want to check the symbol you are importing and make sure it's pointed down.

Vectorworks has not shipped the older style fixture since 2010 but you may have imported them from an older document accidentally.

I've seen many people working out of resource files that they or others have compiled that are in the 2015 file format but are imports from much older version of Vectorworks.
