steve s
See pic, It seems I cannot do this. I imported a file with a lot of classes and sub classes, I would like to change the Class name and leave the subclasses attached to the new Class name, rather then renaming all the sub classes. Is this not possible? Thanks Quote Link to comment
zoomer
That will not work. Hierarchical Class display is just a way to display and group the Classes. Not a real intelligence. It just orders them that way when you use "-" in their names. If you switch hierarchical display off you will see the name of each Class : A-wall-concrete A-wall-masonry ... And you have to rename each of them manually if you f.e. want to change A to B Quote Link to comment

bennyrc
has there been any progress? just editing main class and make the sub classes take the change? Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Not exactly, but there is now a command called "Batch Rename" under the Tools menu that should let you accomplish the same thing fairly quickly. Quote Link to comment
